The present research work entitled: “App "Cake" to reinforce speaking in third
grade students of I.E. N° 18001 "Miguel Rubio" Chachapoyas, 2023". The aim of this
research was to reinforce speaking skill in third-grade students, considering
vocabulary, pronunciation, and fluency dimensions. This research employed an
experimental research design of a practical nature with a pre-experimental approach.
The sample of this research was 24 students, selected by using non-probability
convenience sampling.
An entrance test (pre test) was applied at the beginning of the semester and an
exit test (post test) was applied at the end to evaluate speaking. The data gathered
through the test was analyzed statistically. The results of data analysis showed
improvements, as was shown in the pre test, 86.67% of the students were at the
beginning level and 13% at the process level, while in the post test, 20% of the students
reached the process level and 80% achieved advanced and outstanding levels in their
speaking. In summary, this research concludes that the CAKE app, used as a
complementary tool, effectively strengthened students' English oral expression skills.
