EL USO DE LOS CUENTOS DE EDGAR ALLAN POE EN EL FORTALECIMIENTO DE LA COMPRENSIÓN LECTORA EN LOS ESTUDIANTES DEL TERCER GRADO DE EDUCACIÓN SECUNDARIA DE LA I.E. PEDRO RUIZ GALLO – BONGARÁ – 2023
Abstract
The following research project titled the use of Edgar Allan Poe´s stories in the
improvement of the reading comprehension in students of the third gr4ade at Pedro
Ruiz Gallo school – Bongara- 2023. This research aimed to determine how the use of
Edgar Allan Poe´s stories has an influence in the improvement of reading
comprehension. The research was applicated with an experimental design. The study
was formed by two variables, stories and reading comprehension with a population of
102 students and a sample group of 19 students. Where to determine the level of
comprehension in third grade students according to the literal, inferential and critical
level, we applied a pretest where the students were in a low level: with a 63.3% in a
beginner level, a 36,8%in a process level; while in the post test any students were in
he beginner level; 2 students are in process level that are 10.53%; 13 students are in
an achievement level that are 68.42%; and 4 students in a significant level that are
21.05%. in other words, in the post test we can see a significant improvement because
lots of students are in an achievement level with a 68.42%.
In conclusion, we can say that the use of Edgar Allan Poe´s stories had
improved in a significant way the reading comprehension in students of third grade at
Pedro Ruiz Gallo school – Bogara – 2023.
