HÁBITOS DE LECTURA PARA FORTALECER LA COMPRENSIÓN LECTORA EN LOS ESTUDIANTES DE 2º GRADO DE SECUNDARIA DE LA I.E N° 18052 “PADRE BLAS VALERA PÉREZ”, LEVANTO - 2023

The present study entitled: Reading habits to strengthen reading
comprehension in students of 2nd grade of secondary school of the I.E. N° 18052
"Padre Blas Valera Pérez", Levanto - 2023, had as general objective to determine the
strengthening of reading comprehension. The type of study was applied with a
quantitative approach, with a pre-experimental design. Based on a pre-test-post-test
with a single group. The population consisted of 57 enrolled students and the sample
consisted of 13 second grade students. The instrument used was an objective test,
graded taking into account a checklist based on achievement levels, validated by
experts. In the results obtained from the pre-test, the comparative figures in the reading
comprehension variable N° 04 and 09 show the following results: 0% of the students
are at the outstanding level of achievement (AD), 7,69% attained the achieved level
(A), 7,69% of the students are in process (B) and 84,62% are at the beginning level of
achievement (C). On the other hand, after the application of the exit test the results
obtained in the post test were obtained, 38,46% of the students reached the level of
outstanding achievement (AD), 46,15% acquired the level of achieved (A), 15,38% of
the students are in process (B) and 0% in the level of beginning achievement (C). Thus,
it is concluded that the application of the habit of reading and writing in the classroom
has been very successful.
